Leah Schultz
Artist Bio
I am Leah Schultz. I am 21 years old from Houston, TX. I am a 4th year undergraduate student at the University of Colorado Boulder majoring in Environmental Design with an emphasis in Architecture. I have many skills useful to all fields of design. I am an expert in the Adobe Creative Cloud as well as many 3D modeling softwares. The Environmental Design program has provided me with an interdisciplinary background including studio work in landscape architecture, urban planning, environmental product design, and architecture. Each studio takes an in depth approach from the bottom up, beginning with a site analysis and ending with a unique project proposal. I have made great achievements throughout my educational experience in Environmental Design such as being awarded permanent display in the Environmental Design building for my Landscape Architecture project in Fall 2019. I have also experimented with a variety of tools and materials to make models and drawings such as laser cutters, CNC routers, concrete, acrylic, MDF, watercolor paint, and ink. I am currently an exhibition design intern at the Longmont Museum. Here, I assist with exhibition installations and uninstallations, research and exhibition development, work in exhibition shop building exhibitions using hand and power tools, and design exhibition graphics and components using Adobe design software and SketchUp. In my leisure time, I enjoy making digital art. I have a poster company, Happies Studios, in which I create custom posters for customers using mixed media. Each poster strives to express the individuality and spunkiness of the customer while keeping the aesthetics a high priority.
